I will venture to say the best in the TriCities, although there's a few places I haven't been yet.
Portions are always good, flavours are consistent.
The staff are generally very nice, depending on who you get. It is expensive though. For myself and my partner it's a $50 lunch. That's a soup, noodle bowl, sandwich and spring roll. Definitely try the lemongrass beef...absolutely delicious! -

Place is clean and the orders are huge. Servers are efficient as well. 2 main things that are a knock down for this place are the steep price and the quality of the meat.
The pho wasn't good and the beef slices were very tough. The lemongrass pork chop had a good flavorful marinade but you can still taste the porkiness. Saving Grace was the grilled chicken. I think they don't use quality meats here which is very disappointing because of the price that they charge. $14.50 for a rice dish! That's super expensive. I'd rather have smaller portions and high quality ingredients.
I'd rate it 2.5 stars but just rounded up to 3. -

Hair in salad rolls (with the piece of hair longer than my hand - GROSS) but still charged us for one of the two rolls. Bad customer service. Rice combo was very unimpressive. Expensive overall. Much better pho and Vietnamese food elsewhere.

The best pho around. You can taste it in their broth, its almost a shame to add any hoison or hot sauce. I will literally make excuses to be in the area jus so I can eat here.

If watery no flavour Pho with chewy low quality meat in it and service without a smile turns you on, by all means eat at Pho 51. Otherwise, maybe avoid this place.
This is the second time I have eaten at Pho 51, strictly because I had a Vietnamese craving. I will NOT be going back to this restaurant. So many far better quality restaurants local.
I love Vietnamese food. :-(
